Our bed is an oasis, a place to relax and wake up refreshed, but if you are sleeping with the wrong pillow you may be waking up feeling pain and discomfort.
A bad pillow can aggravate and even cause strain to the muscles in your shoulders, back and neck, this can affect your posture, breathing and even your mood. A bad night of sleep with a bad pillow can also cause stress and anxiety. A good pillow is supposed to help keep your head in neutral alignment, which means your head is sitting squarely on your shoulders without bending back too far or reaching too far forward. There are also several different types of fillings used for pillows. The most common fillings are down-feather, foam, or polyester fiberfill. These pillows may work for a short time but they can all wear down quickly and leave your head and neck feeling out of place.
